Parent Access (or Student Access) Questions 
 

 
 

Q:   My computer is doing "weird" things (slow, erratic, programs not loading, etc...). What should I do?

 
A:    Restart your computer  (As simple as this sounds, rebooting fixes many problems)

Q:     "What can I do when I can't get anywhere on the internet?"
 
A:      Follow these steps:
  1. Open the Chrome browser: Chrome App Icon                                                                                   
  2. Click on the house icon next to the address/URL bar:  Chrome House Pic  

  3. Login to the filter with your credentials:

A:   Try the following steps to correct either problem:
 
  1. Turn computer off by holding down the power button for 10 seconds, then start computer as you normally would.
  2. Login as usual
  3. Open "System Preferences"
  4. Click on "Energy Saver"
  5. Under BOTH the "Battery" & "Power Adapter" sections/tabs, set their "Display Sleep" time sliders to 15 min or more than 15 min.

Q:   I forgot my password in Parent Access. How can I get it?

Q:   Why can't I logon to Parent Access (or Student Access)? I'm sure my ID and password are correct, but I get the message: "Sorry, the username and password you provided does not exist."

 

A:    Make sure you are logging on to Parent Access (or Student Access) from the correct place. You may start from the District home page, or your school home page. 
  1. Click on "Parents" (or "Students") from the list on the left side of the home page.

  2.  From the list of Parent (or Student) Resources, find "Parent Access" (or "Student Access"), and click "Login"

  3. This will bring you to to the Parent Access (or Student Access) logon screen. Enter your logon ID and password:

Q:   How can I update my student's information?

 

A:   You can not update any information. If you believe any information is incorrect, please contact your child's guidance counselor.

Q:   I'm a student. How can I view my grades, and other information?
 
A:    All students are registered for Student Access where you can view grades and other information.

       4.  Be sure to scroll down and complete the bottom half of the form and click on "Done".

       5.  You will receive a confirmation email from Parent Access in one to three school days.
 

 
Q:  Is it OK for me to just close the browser, rather than log off from Parent Access?  Do I really have to log off?
 
A:   Closing your browser is not the same as logging off.  You must log off Parent Access to eliminate the possibility of someone else accidentally viewing your student's information.

 
Q:  How do I sign off Parent Access?
 
A:   There is a small "Exit Door" icon at the upper right of every Parent Access screen. Click the "Exit Door" icon to sign off.

 
Q:  What if I don't have access to all the students in my family?
 
A:   If you have more than one student in the district (in the high schools, not the middle schools), the additional high school students will be added to your Parent Access account. Please fill out a separate registration form for each additional student. You will be able to view the information for all your students with the same logon ID and password. After you receive the email confirming that the registration is complete, log on to Parent Access and click on the "drop-down" field at the center-top of the screen to select the students one-at-a-time.
